Mount Union Head Coach Larry Kehres has been named the Ohio College Football Coach of the Year for 2005 by his fellow collegiate coaches in the state. 

Kehres received eight first-place votes and 45 overall, in winning the award for the sixth time.  The award is sponsored by The Columbus Dispatch. 

Kehres has led the Purple Raiders to eight Division III football national championships and 16 Ohio Athletic Conference titles.  His career record of 223-20-3 has generated a .915 winning percentage.
