Are you ready for some football?  Your first chance to see the Purple Raiders on the gridiron in 2005 will be tomorrow evening at Mount Union Stadium when the Purple & White take advantage of a new NCAA rule allowing for a limited number of spring practices by Division III football teams. 

This weekend's practices will be held tomorrow night, Friday afternoon, Saturday morning and Sunday afternoon.  Each session will be in the stadium and is open to the public.

The Mount Union College Sports Information Director's office has posted its 2005 Purple Raider Football Preview. You can read it here.

In addition, start times have been announced for six of this year's football games.  The regular season will kickoff at 1:00 p.m. on September 3rd when Mount Union hosts Washington (MO), followed by evening tilts in weeks two and three at John Carroll and home vs. Otterbein.  Road contests later in the year at Wilmington, Muskingum and Heidelberg will all start at 1:30 p.m.  You can see the full 2005 schedule here.
