Former Mount Union All-American defensive end Matt Campbell has joined the Purple Raider football coaching staff as an offensive line coach for the 2005 season. 

Campbell, a Massillon Perry product and 2002 graduate of Mount Union College, was a key member of three Purple Raider National Championship teams (2000, 2001, & 2002).

A rumor of Campbell's return broke earlier in the week and was confirmed with an announcement by Mount Union Athletic Director and Head Football Coach Larry Kehres today.

Campbell was named First-Team All-American and was voted as the Ohio Athletic Conference’s Best Defensive Lineman in 2001 & 2002.  He was also honored as a College Sports Information Directors (CoSIDA) Academic All-American in 2002 while majoring in history.

The past two years, Campbell has been an offensive graduate assistant at Bowling Green State University working mostly with tight ends while pursuing a master’s degree in education administration.
