The Mount Union College community, and me personally, lost a tremendous friend with the passing of Dick Ross.  Dick was a Purple Raider with every ounce of his being.  His accounts of game day brought this site alive with a sense of honesty, humor and passion. Dick will be missed by many but his past stories will live on.

This is the first of four straight weekends that Mount Union's football team can take advantage of a new NCAA rule allowing for spring practices by Division III football teams.

Practices are scheduled for Thursday nights from 8:30-10:00 p.m., Friday evenings from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Saturday mornings from 9:00-11:00 a.m. and Sunday afternoons from 2:00-4:00 p.m.

All practices, which are non-contact sessions, will be held at Mount Union Stadium and are open to the public.  It is advised that you call the Athletic Department if you are traveling from out of town to watch a practice as times can be changed do to inclement weather conditions, etc.

There will be a total of 16 practices over the next four weeks by the Purple Raiders, run by Head Coach Larry Kehres and his coaching staff.  This is the first year such practices are allowed  at the Division III level.
