Randell Knapp, a two-year starter for Mount Union at wide receiver, signed a free agent contract today with the Calgary Stampeders of the Canadian Football League.

Knapp earned All-American honors last fall while leading Mount Union in receptions, yards per catch, receiving yards and touchdowns.  His career receiving numbers include 125 receptions, 2,483 receiving yards and 27 touchdowns.

There are currently two other ex-Mount Union grid stars playing professionally... cornerback Chris Kern, allocated by the Detroit Lions of the Nation Football League to Frankfurt of NFL Europe; and quarterback Rob Adamson, allocated by the Carolina Panthers of the NFL, to Cologne of NFL Europe.  Running back Dan Pugh also spent part of the 2003 season with Montreal of the CFL.

Happy Birthday to us!  Today marks the fourth anniversary of this website, which went online May 5th, 2000.  There have been 1,065,414 visitors, with the single highest traffic day coming on December 13th of last year, the day of Mount Union's semifinal playoff victory over Bridgewater, when there were 6,459 hits on the site.  Thanks to everyone for your support and kind words over the past four years!
