The Mount Union College Sports Information Director's office has previewed the Purple Raiders football season opener against Washington (MO) in St. Louis.  You can read it here.

Mount Union and Washington & Jefferson will take part in a scrimmage this Saturday at Mount Union Stadium.  The Purple Raiders and Presidents will practice together throughout the day with the controlled scrimmage scheduled for approximately noon.  This is your chance to preview the 2004 Raider football team one week before the season opener vs. Washington (MO) in St. Louis.

D3football.com has posted its 2004 Division III Football Preseason Top 25.  Mount Union received 13 of 25 first-place votes to claim the top spot.  Ohio Athletic Conference rival Capital is slotted 12th, while Baldwin-Wallace starts 23rd.  John Carroll also received votes.  You can see their entire Preseason Top 25 here.
