More fans saw Division III football at Mount Union Stadium during the 2002 season than at any other Division III venue. 41,860 fans were on hand at Purple Raiders home games, an average of 5,233 fans per game. That per game average was second in Division III behind only St. John's (MN).
Mount Union has been a consistent member of the top ten in attendance in Division III, finishing first overall in average attendance in 1999. Ohio Athletic Conference rival Baldwin-Wallace was in the top ten as well this past season, ranking fifth with an average of 4,120 fans per game.

The 2003 football season will be here before you know it and we've posted this fall's Purple Raider Schedule, along with the OAC Schedule and Mount Union's Match-up Fact Sheet. Game start times have not been announced.

Mount Union cornerback Chris Kern represented the Purple Raiders well in the Hula Bowl Saturday night in Honolulu, HI. Kern recorded five tackles and one pass break-up in the game, helping his Aina squad defeat the Kai team 27-24. Mount Union head coach Larry Kehres was also an assistant coach for Aina.
