For a second consecutive day there is a story in the Akron Beacon Journal pertaining to the injury Mount Union quarterback Rob Adamson sustained in last Saturday's season opener.  Head Coach Larry Kehres is quoted in the story as saying the x-rays to Adamson's hand were negative and the doctors think he will be able to play in four weeks.  The injury is to the index finger on the senior's throwing hand.  The Purple Raiders play three games in the next four weeks.  Following a bye this Saturday, the team travels to Baldwin-Wallace, will face Muskingum in the home opener and then will play at Otterbein.

There is a story in today's Akron Beacon Journal that reports it is possible Rob Adamson will miss several weeks due to an injury to a finger on his throwing hand.  The senior quarterback suffered the injury in the second half of the Wis-Whitewater game this past Saturday.  If Adamson does miss time it is likely sophomore Zac Bruney would start in his place at quarterback.  The Purple Raiders have a bye this Saturday and begin Ohio Athletic Conference play on September 21st at Baldwin-Wallace.
