I came across a fantastic Mount Union Football website today. It's
a senior project of Purple Raider defensive end Todd Braden. He's done
some wonderful work with the site and the wallpaper he created is must have! You
can take a look for yourself at his work here.
Braden finished a stellar
football career at Mount Union in 2001 recording 69 tackles, with 12
quarterback sacks, including a Purple Raider single game record four sacks
vs. Baldwin Wallace last season. Nice work Todd!
With 40% of the vote Chuck Moore has been named the offensive player
you'd most like to see back at Mount Union. Our new poll turns to
defense. Give us your opinion as to the best defensive player of the
last decade. But I've changed the rules slightly. No one that
played in the last two years has been included in the poll. I want to
make you think a bit. Vote today!
Happy Birthday to us! Today marks the second year anniversary of this
website. Thank you to the 390,336 people that have been here and keep
coming back. The site has averaged 543 hits per day and almost double
that September through December.
The highest traffic day was the
Monday following Mount Union's semi-final playoff victory over St. John's
this past December, when we had 3,485 visitors. Thanks for all the nice
comments we've received over the last two years!
Mount Union College announced renovation plans today for Mount Union
Stadium. The renovations will
include a new
artificial grass playing surface for football, a resurfacing of the track
and relocation of the long jump area, a new, two-story press box, and the
replacement of two concession stands. You can read the full press
release here.
