The Blue Streaks took a 30-27 lead with 2:13 remaining on a 74-yard touchdown pass from Tom Arth to Brian Shellito. Mount Union then drove 68-yards on 11-plays, with Chuck Moore scoring from seven-yards out with just :26 remaining in the game, to give the Purple Raiders a three-point lead.
Mount Union made a number of big plays in the drive, but none bigger than the converted fourth and three from the John Carroll 35-yard line. Rob Adamson found Josh Liddell for seven-yards, but the tightend was sandwiched between two Blue Streak defenders and the ball deflected up into the air. Liddell had the concentration to grab the ball for the reception, convert the first down, and keep the drive alive for the Purple Raiders.
Without question, this was one of the biggest and most clutch drives in Mount Union Purple Raider football history.
Jose Hose's attempt to send the game into overtime for John Carroll with a 47-yard field goal fell just short as time expired and the Purple Raiders won its OAC record 60th consecutive regular season conference game. Chuck Moore scored three touchdowns in the contest and became the all-time OAC leader in points scored with 366 points. Look for our complete game story and game pictures soon.

First, if the president declares an official day of mourning at any point; Secondly, if the conference receives word from the NCAA that games in the future should not be played; Third, if there is a change in national events or reactions from this point, the conference reserves the right to change policy.

Ohio Athletic Conference play begins when the Otterbein Cardinals come to Alliance Saturday, with kickoff set for 1:30 p.m. at Mount Union Stadium. Both teams will be 1-0 heading into that contest.
